I feel strongly about making our city government open, transparent, and inclusive. Our city residents can provide the new ideas that keep government fresh and invigorate our economy and community.

I'll push to make records available online in a more accessible way and in a searchable format so the public can be fully informed and have a chance for meaningful participation.
- I'll vote to open City Council meetings to more public comment and air all of them on TV and the web. I'll work to improve public outreach policies for both Planning and Public Works.
- I'll reach out to neighborhoods through both personal contact and a blog (the first in Skagit County by an elected official) so people know what the City is doing and how to participate.
