Thoughtful economic development can attract new business to Anacortes without damaging existing business or our community. We need to give reasons for people to shop our side of the bridge!
- Let's draw people and business to the waterfront by creating a central activity hub and by improving our partnerships with the Port and Chamber to find collaborative solutions.
- Let's invigorate our downtown by letting people live downtown in a range of housing types, sizes, and prices in close proximity, with a focus on quality architecture and design.
- Let's encourage pedestrian and bike access to our commercial hub by improving pedestrian trails, making crosswalks safer, and adding bike racks.
